Bear Archery Antique Recurve Bow – "1953 Grizzly"

Description

Grandfather’s beloved Bear Archery Recurve Bow – This bow is labeled as a “1953 Grizzly.” Friends in archery tell me it is in amazing shape! Continuously stored indoors in the back corner of that closet that no one ever uses!
The Riser is smooth and unscarred along it’s length and at the grip and pivot point.
Limbs show minor scratches.
Arrow rest (shown in picture 5) needs to be re-lined.
Scratches are apparent on both tips as is shown in pictures 6 and 7 of the bow strung and unstrung.
Final picture is of the handwritten details printed on the riser, indicating draw length and draw weight.
There is a bowstring that fits the bow, which I am told appears to be from the 1980’s or 90’s and shows very little wear The servings at the end and center show show no signs of fraying.
All the men/boys in the family are into the compound bows with all the bells and whistles – no takers for this family treasure.

Viewers have suggested that this is actually a 1965 Zebrawood bow, with 1953 being the patent year. Draw is 58″ @ 44 lbs. Overall length of bow is approx. 55″
