EZ-Gen uses a genetic testing method called Real-Time Polymerase Chain reaction or qPCR to determine the gender of your baby as early as 8 weeks into pregnancy. This method is incredibly sensitive and is up to 99.9% accurate. By testing a mother’s blood for the presence of male DNA we can determine whether the fetus is male or female. No male DNA detected? It’s a girl! Male DNA detected? It’s a boy!
Our test uses a small amount of blood collected from the fingertip using the included collection materials. The test is simple, only takes a few minutes, and if you have any trouble we are here to help. We provide you with EVERYTHING you need including a prepaid return mailer for your sample.
With this standard test, you will receive your test results within 72 hours of your sample arriving at our lab.
Please note: The qPCR testing method that we perform is extremely sensitive. The directions included with your kit give detailed instructions on how to clean your collection area to ensure the test’s accuracy. It is critical that you follow these directions carefully and exactly. With any fetal gender analysis kit when there is an incorrect result it almost always shows a Male result. This can be attributed to improper cleaning of the work surface or hands nearly every time.
