ROOKWOOD POTTERY MATTE MATT GREEN VASE BIRD DECORATION TOOHEY 1905

Description

Dated 1905 and decorated by Sallie Toohey, this Rookwood Pottery Arts and Crafts matt green vase, shape number 914E, stands 5.5″ tall by almost 4.5″ in diameter. Finished in a beautiful shade of green, it is decorated with a single large, flying bird. In factory original condition, no chips, cracks, hairlines, or repairs. There is a tiny factory glaze miss on the tail of the bird that can be seen in our pic. Marks include the Rookwood Pottery flame marks, “RP”, V (date), 914E (shape) and Ms. Toohey’s cipher.
