Vintage 23" grocery store doll

Description

This girl has a cute face. She is approx. 23″ long, has a vinyl (?) head and rubber (?), soft stuffed body. We think she might be what’s called a “grocery store” doll. She is unmarked. We are guessing she’s from the 1950’s or 1960’s. She has very pretty working sleep eyes with nice eye lashes. Her face paint is nice and her hair is nice and thick. Her hair could use a good cleaning and styling. Her rubber body is very soft and feels thin, esp in the joints. She does have slits/cracks in the rubber that go all the way through to the stuffing on both of her elbows but it is not readily visible because of them just being slits they stay closed. You can spread the slits and see the stuffing inside. Her body is dirty on her feet and hands but she does have all of her fingers and toes. She could use a good cleaning over-all. Her clothing is not original and appears to be kids clothes, safety pinned on her. She could use a nice vintage outfit! She has a very pretty face and presents well.  *Doll stand not included.
